David T. Little at the Metropolitan Opera

David T. Little, whose works Sweet Light Crude, Raw Power, and Last Nightfall are available through PSNY has been chosen by the Metropolitan Opera and Lincoln Center Theater to be a collaborator in the recently formed Met/LCT New Works Program. This program, which helped develop Nico Muhly's Two Boys to critical acclaim, pairs composers with librettists to develop works for eventual production at the Metropolitan Opera or Lincoln Center Theater. Little has had a flurry of activity surrounding his larger projects in the past few years; his opera Dog Days, critically acclaimed by the New York Times, was recently produced by Beth Morrison Projects in Montclair, NJ; another work, Soldier Songs, was performed at Pace University in early 2013

Check out this video of excerpts from Dog Days to get an idea of Little's work:

We're eagerly following David's website to see what's coming up next for him-- keep an eye out for some fantastic projects in the near future!
