2015 Summer Festival Digest

As the 2014/2015 concert season comes to a close, many musicians and music lovers regroup in summer venues throughout the world to enjoy performances of classical music in magnificent locations. This year’s summer festival line-up is particularly exciting, with premieres and unique performances taking place from Tanglewood to Santa Fe and beyond. Aspen Music Festival
The 67th Aspen Music Festival features the US premieres of Francisco Coll’s Liquid Symmetries and Shin-ichiro Ikebe’s Flash! along with works by Vijay Iyer, Pierre Jalbert, George Perle, Karol Szymanowski, Arvo Pärt, Anthony Cheung and more. Read more. 

BBC Proms
The 120th BBC Proms includes world premieres from Tansy Davies and Luke Bedford, as well as works by John Woolrich, Pierre Boulez, Colin Matthews, Arvo Pärt and more. Read more. 

Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music
