Douglas J. Cuomo at the Grant Park Music Festival

The Grant Park Music Festival features works by Douglas J. Cuomo as part of its 2015 summer season. On July 21, Christopher Bell leads the Grant Park Chorus in a performance of Cuomo’s Kyrie at the South Shore Cultural Center and a repeat performance follows on July 23 at the Columbus Park Refectory.

On July 22, baritone Anthony Clark Evans and mezzo-soprano Annie Rosen debut two concert arias from Cuomo’s opera DoubtThe Boy’s Nature and The Doubt Sermon—with Ward Stare leading the Grant Park Orchestra at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion.

Other Schott/EAM works on the schedule at the Grant Park Music Festival include Andrew Norman’s Drip Blip Sparkle Spin Glint Glide Glow Float Flop Chop Pop Shatter Splash on June 17 led by Carlos Kalmer, and George Gershwin’s Piano Concerto in F with conductor Christopher Bell and pianist Terrence Wilson.
