Opéra Français de New York presents the US premiere of Kurt Weill's MarieGalante at the French Institute Alliance Français in New York on November 13. The performance, featuring the fully-restored orchestral score and reconstruction of the original play by Jacques Deval, is conducted by Yves Abel and directed by OFNY co-artistic directors Jean-Philippe Clarac and Olivier Deloeuil.

The Boston Symphony Orchestra, under conductor Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, present three performances in November of Carl Orff's epic work Carmina Burana for mixed chorus, children's chorus, solo voices and orchestra. The Tanglewood Festival Chorus, PALS Chilrden's Chorus, Sequentia: Ensemble for Medieval Music and vocal soloists Norah Amsellem, William Ferguson and Christian Gerhaher round out the performing forces.
