Howard Shore's The Fly in US Premiere; Shore's Fanfare for Organ and Brass Receives World Premiere in Philadelphia
The Fly travels to Los Angeles Opera for its US premiere following its world premiere run at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. Organist Peter Richard Conte and the brass players of The Philadelphia Orchestra perform the world premiere of Howard Shore's Fanfare, commissioned by Macy's in honor of their 150th anniversary, in Macy's flagship Philadelphia store featuring the original Wanamaker organ.
