Mouthpiece: Segment of the 3rd Letter
for voice, bass flute, percussion, viola and contrabass(2007)
|Instrumentation||See preview pages for percussion instrumentation details.|
All instruments should be amplified. The bass flute will need two microphones, one near the embouchure and one at the end of the flute. The voice should be amplified with two microphones, one for the noise sounds (turned up slightly louder) and the other for the sung tones (sent through a compressor (so the higher sung tones are not too loud) and slightly quieter than the other channel). The percussionist should have three microphones placed throughout the percussion set up. All other instruments should be amplified normally so as to mix well with the other instruments.
