World Premiere of Huw Watkins's Octet by the Academy of St Martin in the Fields Chamber Ensemble

The Academy of St Martin in the Fields Chamber Ensemble performed the world premiere of Huw Watkins's Octet at the Center for the Arts, George Mason University on October 3. The premeire was followed by an extensive tour of the work throughout parts of the United States, with performances in Georgia, California, Santa Fe, and San Antonio. Watkin's Octet is ideally combined Franz Schubert's famous Octet in F major.
