Kurt Weill's Lady In the Dark Garners High Praise in Vienna

Volksoper Wien gave the Austrian premiere of Kurt Weill’s Lady in the Dark on December 13 with a run of ten shows. The production utilizes Roman Hinze’s German translation. Performances were directed by Matthias Davids and conducted by Maestro James Holmes who was awarded the Weill Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018.
