World Premiere of Pierre Jalbert's All is Now in Santa Fe

Led by David Felberg, Chatter performed the world premiere of Pierre Jalbert's All is Now for 10 players at SITE Santa Fe on October 9 and at Las Puertas in Albuquerque on October 10. The composer notes:

"All Is Now reflects upon our current moment in time and the importance of relationships and priorities in life – the importance of “now”. It was written during the height of the coronavirus pandemic, in which the world seemed to be in both a state of upheaval and on pause. The piece moves from hyper-kinetic activity (almost chaotic) to lyrical stasis, with differing tangents in between. It’s a large 24-minute canvas, and was commissioned by Eleanor Eisenmenger for the Chatter ensemble."

All is Now is a major addition to  the chamber music repertoire. With its 10 player configuration, the piece the feel of a mini-sinfonietta affording it a unique place in the standard chamber music canon.
