BBC Radio Features Joaquín Rodrigo as "Composer of the Week" and Joaquín Rodrigo Festival Madrid Begins

On September 22, BBC Radio kicked off a five-episode "Composer of the Week" feature highlighting the music of Joaquín Rodrigo, from the early Dos Esbozos to the beloved Concierto de Aranjuez, and more. Click here to learn more.

Additionally, a new annual guitar festival has been established in Madrid. The Joaquín Rodrigo Festival Madrid was inaugurated on October 2 at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando with a recital by Marcin Dylla, followed by a lecture given by Cecilia Rodrigo – only daughter of the composer and founder of the publishing house Ediciones Joaquín Rodrigo – at the Conservatorio Superior de Madrid.
