The Leslie Boosey Award, established in memory of the music publisher Leslie Boosey (1887-1979), is given biennially and recognizes outstanding contribution by an individual to the furthering of contemporary music in the UK. Programmers, publishers, broadcasters, administrators, educationalists and representatives from the recording industry have all received the award and past recipients include Amelia Freedman, Colin Matthews and Gillian Moore.
As part of a distinguished 35-year career with Schott Music, Sally Groves has been responsible for building and promoting the Music of Our Time catalogue, working closely with notable composers including Alexander Goehr, Hans Werner Henze and Sir Michael Tippett.
