World Premieres of Katherine Balch's estrangement and Two memories

This month sees the world premieres of two new works by Katherine Balch. The first, estrangement, is a song cycle on poems by Katie Ford, composed for the Brooklyn Art Song Society. Comprised of thirteen songs, estrangement will be premiered on April 10 by soprano Lucy Fitz Gibbon and pianist Michael Brofman who will alternate songs in this cycle with those from Robert Schumann's Dichterliebe.
On April 28, pianist Albert Cano will premiere Two memories for solo piano as part of his Young Concert Artists debut. The performance will be livestreamed on the Young Concert Artists' Facebook page and YouTube channel.
