World Premiere of Joseph Schwantner's Fast Track, a Concerto for Percussion and Wind Ensemble

The Hartt Symphony Band and the Hartt Wind Ensemble joined forces on November 16 for a performance that included the world premiere of Joseph Schwantner’s Fast Track, a concerto for percussion and wind ensemble, featuring Hartt Professor Benjamin Toth and students Hannah Moore, Honoka Masuyama, and Yuchen Yan. The concert also included works by Morton Gould, Jodie Blackshaw, George Walker, and Gustav Holst, and was conducted by James E. Jackson, John R. “Rusty” Koenig, and Jacob Bender.
