World Premiere of Herbert Willi's DSONG at the Bregenz Festival

On August 14, Herbert Willi's DSONG will be premiered at the Bregenz Festival by the Orchesterakademie Bregenz, conducted by Daniel Cohen. The composer describes DSONG:

"‘Dsong’, an underlying principle of Korean culture, links human beings and makes reference to the common history and soul of North and South Korea. ‘Dsong’ is a matter of course for Koreans: they feel ‘Dsong’ and ‘Dsong’ is the heart which will bring peace to the world. It brings together lovers, individuals, nations and people from East and West and North and South. A representation of this concept is the first presidential couple of the Democratic Republic of South Korea. Rhee Syngman was Korean and his wife was Austrian. I dedicate this DSONG to the original First Lady of the Republic of Korea, my fellow compatriot, Franziska.
