World Premiere of Bernard Rands's Impromptu #4
Apr. 03, 2018

On April 29, Bernard Rands's Impromptu #4 for solo piano will be premiered by Susan Krzywicki on a program of the Network for New Music in Philadelphia. A collection of Bernard Rands's Four Impromptus for piano is currently in preparation for publication and will be available in Edition Schott soon.
In addition, Bernard Rands will be the guest composer-in-residence at the University of Arizona's Fred Fox School of Music from April 14-17. His music, including Memo 8 for solo oboe and Three Pieces for Piano will be performed in Crowder Hall on Sunday, April 15.
Finally, we are delighted to report that in a fitting celebration of his 85th birthday year, Rands has been commissioned to compose two new works for orchestra which will have their world premieres in coming seasons. More details on performances of these new works will soon follow!
