Scodo's Professional Subscription: An Introduction

Universal Edition presented scodo, a new publishing platform, last winter. The various subscription models available are described in detail below:

After you have submitted a selection of your works via scodo for the one-time evaluation and have been accepted into Universal Edition, you can choose between three different subscriptions: Standard, Professional and Professional Plus.

When you use the Professional subscription, all your sheet music is expertly produced in our printing centre at the customer's request and each edition (printed and digital) is provided with the Universal Edition logo. After that, we distribute your works worldwide – digitally via UE now or printed, for sale or for hire, depending on the customer's wishes. In addition, we process all purchase and hire transactions and handle the invoicing and licensing (except for reprint rights and arrangement permissions).

You can publish an unlimited number of orchestral works and one work belonging to the category music theatre (e.g. operas) with the Professional subscription.

With the Professional subscription, you can manage your profile and your work pages on the Universal Edition website and customise your pages with links, videos, audio samples and much more. In addition, you can also flexibly manage the subscription itself: You can change to another subscription at any time if you have not made a subscription change in the past 30 days.

The Professional subscription can be taken out either as an annual or monthly subscription and can be cancelled at any time. In addition, you can announce future publications on the Universal Edition website and enter events in our performance calendar. A further advantage of the Professional subscription is the automatic transfer of the metadata of your works to zinfonia. Your works will not only be listed on the Universal Edition website, but also on zinfonia, the well-established music publisher portal.
