Schott Music Corporation/ EAMDLLC President Jim Kendrick Appointed to Board of Directors of ASCAP

Schott Music Corporation/EAMDLLC President Jim Kendrick has been named a director of ASCAP, the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers. Mr. Kendrick takes the Concert Music seat held since 1981 by Arnold Broido, who passed away in October 2007. Mr. Kendrick, who holds degrees from the Manhattan School of Music, The Juilliard School, and Rutgers Law School, returned to the company in March 2002 following the death of Ronald Freed, having helped establish the company beginning in 1977, and having served as outside counsel for several Schott Music Group companies and for EAM following a term as Chief Executive Officer of Boosey & Hawkes, Inc. He also is a director of several music foundations, including The Aaron Copland Fund for Music, The Amphion Foundation, and the Virgil Thomson Foundation, and is counsel to the Music Publishers' Association of the United States.
