Release of Anne Lovett's Album, The Eleventh Hour
Dec. 01, 2018
Anne Lovett's luminous new album, The Eleventh Hour, was released by 1631 Recordings in October. Joined by the illustrious London Contemporary Orchestra, and later in duo with acclaimed cellist and composer Oliver Coates, Anne Lovett introduces subtle electronics carefully interwoven with layered melodic piano lines, resulting in a new sonic world described as "a soulful elegy" (The Observer). Lovett's profound and carefully crafted thirteen-track album was inspired by the Japanese concept of Kintsugi or “broken beauty” as well as the composer's desire to reflect on the many societal shifts and troubling events afflicting the world today.
