Radio France Presents a Weekend of Howard Shore Highlights

Apr. 18, 2023

Radio France invites audiences to a weekend dedicated to the music of composer Howard Shore from May 12-15 in Paris. While some of the concerts are dedicated to Shore's celebrated film music from such masterpieces as The Fly,Ed Wood, and The Lord of the Rings, others focus on his concert works. The French premieres of three of his solo concertos will be featured in concert on May 15. These include the piano concerto Ruin and Memory (2010), Mythic Gardens for cello and orchestra (2012) and his most recent violin concerto The Song of Names (2019), which is based on the music from the film adaptation of Norman Lebrecht's novel of the same name.
