The Erato Ensemble Performs Priaulx Rainier's The Bee Oracles in Vancouver

On September 25, the Erato Ensemble performs Priaulx Rainier's The Bee Oracles for tenor or baritone and ensemble at The Annex in Vancouver. The text of the piece is drawn from Edith Sitwell's abstract poem, "The Canticle of the Rose." Composed for renowned tenor Peter Pears, this masterpiece is now rarely heard. This performance, part of Erato's "Songs and Stories" series marks the North American premiere of The Bee Oracles.
