Orchestral Suites from Nino Rota's Landmark Scores for Films by Federico Fellini Showcased in Italy

On September 8, the Orchestra Sinfonica della Città Metropolitana di Bari, led by Nicola Colafelice, performed several iconic suites from Nino Rota's music for film including La Dolce Vita (1959), Rocco e i suoi fratelli (1960), Il Gattopardo (1962), Giulietta degli Spiriti (1965), Amarcord (1973), and Otto e Mezzo (1963). The concert also featured Teho Teardo's Ellipses dans l'harmonie, winner of the Premio Rota 2023, and Vittorio Pasquale's For Four. The artistic partnership of Nino Rota and Federico Fellini is perhaps one of the greatest music and film collaborations of all time and the orchestral suites from the films they produced together are timless creations, ever-popular with audiences.
