New Production of Georges Bizet's <em>Carmen</em> at Opéra de Montréal

From May 4 through 13, Opéra de Montréal presents Georges Bizet's seminal masterwork of the lyric stage, Carmen, utilizing performing materials from Baerenreiter's critical edition of the opera, which includes recitatives later composed by Ernest Guiraud. Notably, this production is directed by the renowned filmmaker Charles Binamé. Opéra de Montréal performances are conducted by Alain Trudel and feature soprano Krista De Silva in the title role. Find out more about this new production here.
