New Works by Beat Furrer are Premiered in Switzerland and Germany

This month saw the premieres of two new works by Beat Furrer. mirando for countertenor and contrabass clarinet was performed at the Schlossmediale Werdenberg in Switzerland on June 11. On June 25, as part of the opening concert of the “Brandneu” Festival in Kassel, Germany, Bernhard Haas performed the world premiere of Beat Furrer's angelus descendens alongisde Philipp Maintz’s choralvorspiel VII (o haupt voll blut und wunden) and choralvorspiel XIX (wie schön leucht uns der morgenstern). The Festival featured a series of premieres for the new Rieger organ at St. Martin’s Church.
