Morton Subotnick Festival at Brooklyn College

Brooklyn College honors Morton Subotnick on his 75th birthday with a full-day festival of his music on November 11, featuring three concert programs, talks with the composer, and the world premiere of a new version of his recently-composed trio, Then and Now and Forever. Premiered at The Martha's Vineyard Festival this past August, this piece sees a new re-working with the addition of live electronics. In addition to this premiere, the three programs will include Sidewinder, Touch, A Sky of Cloudless Sulfur, and The Other Piano, showcasing Subotnick's composition for diverse instrumentations and passion for innovation over his entire career. The all-day event is a part of the 19th Biannual International Electro-acoustic Music Festival, held at Brooklyn College.
