Miguel Farías's Kuntur Premieres in Hong Kong

The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of Paolo Bortolameolli, presents the world premiere performances of Miguel Farías's Kuntur on December 30-31 as part of their New Year's celebratory concerts.

Farías notes that "Kuntur is the quechua word for Condor. This work proposes a dialogue between Strauss's Die Fledermaus and different Latin American musical works inspired by flying animals, such as "El Condor Pasa" "El Pájaro Campana," "El Pájaro Chogüi," and "Tico tico."
