Matthias Pintscher Leads Performances Throughout the US

Jun. 03, 2011

This summer, composer and conductor Matthias Pintscher leads a schedule packed with engagements across America and Europe, including several engagements to conduct his own works with the world’s leading ensembles. Beginning June 18, Pintscher conducts the National Orchestral Institute performing his work, towards Osiris, at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center in College Park, MD. Pintscher then takes up residence at the Aspen Music Festival & School, where he is the co-composer-in-residence with Christopher Rouse in June and July. There, he will conduct his vocal work, songs from Solomon’s garden, which saw its world premiere in 2010 by Thomas Hampson and the New York Philharmonic. Pintscher returns to New York in August to conduct the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) in a performance of his Occultation at the Mostly Mozart Festival at Alice Tully Hall.
