Kurt Weill in June

Several exciting performances of works by Kurt Weill take place in June. Theater Pforzheim's production of Der Silbersee continues in repertory through July 5. David Pountney’s new triple bill of Mahagonny Songspiel/Schoenberg’s Pierrot lunaire/Die sieben Todsünden gives two more performances at Opéra national du Rhin, June 13 and 15, conducted by Roland Kluttig. Kluttig also conducts a new production of Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny at Landestheater Coburg, June 22 through July 11. The Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart presents Street Scene June 3-21. Finally, Wolf Trap Opera performs The Seven Deadly Sins in the version for two pianos, with Annie Rosen as Anna I, directed by Septime Webre on June 23-24.
