Kate Soper's IPSA DIXIT Released on New World Records

We are delighted to announce the release of Kate Soper’s IPSA DIXIT on New Amsterdam Records, featuring the composer and the Wet Ink Ensemble which she co-directs and with whom she performs as vocalist. This work was a finalist for the 2017 Pulitzer Prize in Music, with the committee calling it, “a breakthrough work that plumbs the composer’s fertile musical imagination to explore the relationships between idea and expression, meaning and language". Last month, Soper performed IPSA DIXIT with the Wet Ink Ensemble at her Composer Portrait concert at Miller Theatre, to great acclaim with Zachary Woolfe of The New York Times calling it a “playful, thoughtful, befuddling, enchanting work of music theater".
