Valencian Youth Orchestra Performs Joaquín Rodrigo's Zarabanda lejana y Villancico at the Senate Headquarters in Madrid

Led by conductor Jaume Santonja, Valencia-based Joven Orquestra de la Generalitat Valenciana included the Joaquín Rodrigo's charming Zarabanda lejana y Villancico in their Christmas concerts at the Senate Headquarters in Madrid on December 18. The work, which features a "villancico" (Christmas carol), is a fitting offering for the holiday season. In addition to the Rodrigo, the orchestra performed Vicente Martín y Soler's Una cosa rara-Obertura, Beethoven's First Symphony, and Franz Xaver Gruber's Noche de Paz (Silent Night) arranged by Erik Morales.
