Inside the Mahler Grooves Festival with Gustavo Dudamel
The Mahler Grooves Festival was inspired by the cult status of Gustav Mahler among Angeleno symphonic fans in the 1970s. In the 1970s, a society of LA-based Mahler lovers created bumper stickers that became countercultural symbols for the then-cult status of Gustav Mahler among symphonic fans. Five decades later, the Los Angeles Philharmonic has revived the phrase and design to celebrate the composer's bold and brilliant legacy in Los Angeles and beyond.
