Gershwin Under the Stars at Grant Park Music Festival

Chicago's Grant Park Music Festival, the nation's only remaining free, outdoor classical music series, presents two evenings of Gershwin's Greatest Hits on July 18 and 19 at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Chicago's Millennium Park. Kevin Stites leads the Grant Park Orchestra through such Gershwin classics as Strike Up The Band, I Got Rhythm, An American in Paris, Rhapsody in Blue and Love is Here to Stay. Jay Jaski directs the production which features Kirill Gerstein on piano and veteran Broadway stars Harolyn Blackwell, Marin Mazzie, Jason Danieley and Norm Lewis. The first night kicks off at 6:30 PM on Friday, July 18, followed directly by the Grant Park Annual Benefit Gala, with a follow up performance on Saturday, July 19 at 7:30 PM.
