New Gavin Bryars Biography Is Published by Kahn and Averill

Numerous performances this season have already highlighted Bryars's forthcoming 80th birthday, demonstrating the composer's prolific output and creative development over time. This biography, with a foreword by Steve Reich, expounds on Bryars's musical legacy by bringing together musicians, colleagues, and collaborators who have worked with him, each discussing one particular aspect of his work. The publisher aptly notes:
