The Boston Modern Orchestra Project Presents a Joseph Schwantner Portrait Concert

The Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP), under the direction of Gil Rose, presents a portrait concert of music by Joseph Schwantner on March 28 at the New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall. BMOP will play a selection of works reflective of Joseph Schwantner’s long and distinguished composing career, including Aftertones of Infinity (1978), Angelfire (2002), and the Concerto No. 2 for Percussion Section, Timpani, and Orchestra (2011). Joseph Schwantner is this year’s New England Conservatory Malcolm Peyton Composer Artist-in-Residence.
