Bernard Rands’ New Website Goes Live

Following on the heels of Bernard Rands' banner 75th birthday year in 2009/10, we are happy to announce the re-launch of his website, www.bernardrands.com. Live right now, the site features an entirely new look with much improved navigation and a fully expanded resource for all things Bernard Rands including details on his entire catalogue of music, performance calendar, downloadable high-res photos, news and program note archives and selected audio samples. Bernard Rands' newest work, Adieu, written for the Seattle Symphony and Gerard Schwarz in honor of Schwarz’s farewell season, debuts in Seattle on December 7.

His opera Vincent with a libretto by J.D. McClatchy, sees its world premiere at Indiana University Opera Theatre on April 8, 2011 and Jonathan Biss premieres Rands' Three Pieces for Piano on December 3 in Germany before embarking on a European and US tour with the work. His next full orchestra work, Danza Petrificada, premieres with The Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Riccardo Muti on May 5, 2011.
