Ensemble Intercontemporain Premieres Agata Zubel's Triptyque at Festival Présences in Paris

Led by conductor Elena Schwarz, Ensemble Intercontemporain performs the world premiere of Agata Zubel's Triptyque for instrumental ensemble on February 7 at the Maison de la Radio Auditorium in Paris. The concert will be performed without a live audience and will be broadcast on Radio France on March 24.  Tryptique was co-commissioned by Radio France and Ensemble Intercontemporain.

In addition, Agata Zubel is one of four composers whose music is featured on the new recording, "Polish Heroines of Music", available now from ANAKLASIS, the record label of PWM. In addition to Agata Zubel's In the Shade of an Unshed Tear for orchestra (2016), the disc also includes Elżbieta Sikora's Sonosphère V. Wanda Landowska for orchestra and electric guitar (2019), Hanna Kulenty's Aisthetikos for soprano saxophone, piano, and orchestra (2019), and Grażyna Bacewicz's Contradizione for chamber orchestra (1966). Performers include three noted soloists: saxophonist Bartłomiej Duś, pianist Magdalena Duś and jazz guitarist Misja Fitzgerald Michel, and the Orchestre Pasdeloup, under the baton of Marzena Diakun.
