Three Orchestral Works by Xuntian He Available for World Premiere

Three orchestral works by the internationally celebrated Chinese composer Xuntian He are currently available for world premiere from Schott Music: Sunyata Dance for clarinet and orchestra; Rupa Dance for piano and orchestra; and Four Dreams for electric erhu and orchestra.
A distinguished composer and creator of a new musical languages, Xuntian He is currently a professor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. In 1981, he established the Three Periods Theory and the Theory of Musical Dimensions. In 1982, he developed the Renyilv Duyingfa Method of Musical Composition, one of the first compositional methods of the People's Republic. His albums Sister Drum and Voices from the Sky, were international recording sensations and released in over 80 countries.
The composer has received numerous international awards for his compositions, including the Outstanding Musical Achievement Award of the International New Music Composer Competition USA 1989-1990. He has also been awarded several national composition prizes, including the First Prize at the Third All-China Music Competition and a number of international and national honorary awards, including the 4th Mercedes-AMG National Spirit Achievers Award. His works have been premiered and performed globally by many leading orchestras and ensembles, including the BBC Symphony Orchestra and countless others.
