On January 29 Carnegie Hall presents Making Music: Peter Eötvös, the third installment of the three-part concert series featuring today's eminent composers at Zankel Hall. The program includes his Snatches of a Conversation, for double bell trumpet and ensemble, Shadows, for flute, clarinet and ensembleas well as four US premieres.

The Los Angeles Opera production of Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny, conducted by James Conlon and featuring a cast that includes Anthony Dean Griffey, Patti LuPone and Audra McDonald,is nominated in the Grammy categories of Best Classical Album and Best Opera Recording.
