Peter Eötvös Appears as Featured Composer on Carnegie Hall's "Making Music" Series
On January 29 Carnegie Hall presents Making Music: Peter Eötvös, the third installment of the three-part concert series featuring today's eminent composers at Zankel Hall. The program includes his Snatches of a Conversation, for double bell trumpet and ensemble, Shadows, for flute, clarinet and ensembleas well as four US premieres.

- Kurt Weill's Orchestration to his children's pantomime Zaubernacht, composed in 1922, was recently unearthed at Yale University and is now available as a new critical edition. The Los Angeles Opera production of Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny, conducted by James Conlon and featuring a cast that includes Anthony Dean Griffey, Patti LuPone and Audra McDonald,is nominated in the Grammy categories of Best Classical Album and Best Opera Recording.
