World Premiere in Munich of Wolfgang Rihm's <em>Transitus III</em>

On March 22, the Munich Philharmonic, led by Valery Gergiev, performs the world premiere of Wolfgang Rihm's Transitus III. The work was commissioned in honor of the orchestra's 125th anniversary. The Munich Philharmonic gives additional performances of the work on March 23 in Munich, March 28 in Cologne, and on March 31 in Vienna.

In addition, from March 15-29, Rihm's opera, Jakob Lenz, will be performed as part of the Festival le Balcon at the Athénée Théâtre Louis-Jouvet in Paris. Nieto directs, and Maxime Pascal conducts these performances.
