Jonny Greenwood's Horror vacui to Premiere at 2019 BBC Proms

Jonny Greenwood's newest violin concerto, Horror vacui, is set to have its world premiere on September 10 as part of the BBC Proms at Royal Albert Hall. The premiere, performed by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales conducted by Hugh Brunt, and featuring violinist Daniel Pioro, will be on a late-night program, curated by the composer himself. The performance will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 as well as subsequently screened on BBC 4 TV.

Jonny Greenwood will perform that evening as well, playing tampura in his own Three Miniatures from 'Water' as well as bass guitar in Steve Reich's Pulse.
