World Premiere of Jupiter Hallucination and a Prestigious Award for Kenji Sakai

The world premiere of Kenji Sakai's Jupiter Hallucination will be performed by Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa under the direction of Kentaro Kawase on February 27 at the Concert Hall of Ishikawa Ongakudo in Ishikawa, Japan. Kenji Sakai is Composer-in-Residence with the Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa during the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.
In addition, we are delighted to announce that Kenji Sakai has been awarded the 39th Kyoto Prefecture Culture Prize for Encouragement. The Kyoto Prefecture Culture Prize recognizes those who have contributed to the improvement and development of the prefecture's culture. The Encouragement Award is given to emerging artists with remarkable achievements in cultural and artistic activities.
