Roxanna Panufnik Sees a World Premiere in Philadelphia and a United States Premiere in Indianapolis

For its 25th Anniversary Concert the Choral Arts Society of Philadelphia has commissioned a work from Roxanna Panufnik as a memorial to a former member of the Society. The work Love Abide is written for chorus, mezzo-soprano soloist, string orchestra, and organ.

In Indianapolis, the chorus at Christ Church Cathedral will perform the United States premiere of Panufnik’s A Kind of Otherness on their March 11, 2007 “Music for Holy Souls” program. Also included on the program will be Latvian composer Peteris Vasks’ Dona Nobis Pacem.
