New "Film Music in Concert" Annotated Catalogue from Schott Music
Nov. 03, 2015

We are pleased to announce the publication of Schott Music’s new "Film Music in Concert" annotated catalogue, a collection of exceptional and thrilling film music by a broad range of composers including Gavin Bryars, Douglas J. Cuomo, Hans Werner Henze, Paul Hindemith, Joe Hisaishi, Toshio Hosokawa, Kamran Ince, Krzysztof Penderecki, Nino Rota, and Howard Shore, among many others. Since the publication of our last film music catalogue, the film music repertoire at Schott has grown with the inclusion of major new composers and works that are eminently suitable for the concert hall.
It is our special pleasure to be able to present you with film music by Erich Wolfgang Korngold. Schott has entered into a long-term cooperation with Warner Chappell and is now the distribution partner for ‘The Erich Wolfgang Korngold–Warner Chappell Library’.
Also of special note, Schott now offers film music by major Italian composers such as Alessandro Cicognini, Stelvio Cipriani, Angelo Francesco Lavagnino, Ennio Morricone, Armando Trovaioli, and the Hungarian born Miklós Rózsa to name only a few, as a result of a new cooperation between the Italian publishing house Creazioni Artistiche Musicali s.r.l. (C.A.M s.r.i).
We are also happy to offer new film music suites by Klaus Doldinger (Symphonic Tatort), Toru Takemitsu (Ran, Suite), Enjott Schneider (Die Flucht, Movie Themes Made in Germany, Vatikan – Die verborgene Welt) and Frank Zappa’s 200 MOTELS – The Suites. The catalogue also includes film music by Mikis Theodorakis including Synoikia to Oneiro (Traumviertel), Serpico and Actas de Marusia alongside arrangements of Zorba’s Dance which brought him global fame.
