New Album Release Features Symphonic Works of Dieter Ammann, Performed by Jonathan Nott and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande
Feb. 26, 2026
Dieter Ammann’s triptych Core – Turn – Boost and the orchestral work glut have been performed to great acclaim all over the world. These symphonic works are now available for the first time in studio recordings, performed by the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and their chief conductor Jonathan Nott. Ammann's orchestral works are characterized by the high demands they place on the performers; they are rhythmically, tonally and technically extremely complex and call for very precise execution. In the newly-released recording on the Schweizer Fonogramm CD label, Jonathan Nott and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande demonstrate a masterly control of Ammann’s complex tonal language.
