Munich Chamber Orchestra Performs Priaulx Rainier’s Sinfonia da Camera

The Munich Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of Xandi van Dijk, performed Priaulx Rainier’s Sinfonia da Camera on May 25 at Schwere Reiter. Schott has created new performance materials for this attrative work, which was presented on the Munich Chamber Orchestra's "Songbook Series" as part of their efforts to invite audiences to (re)-encounter "exemplary works of the modern string orchestra repertoire." The score of Priaulx Rainier's Sinfonia da Camera can be viewed here.
Ranier's Sinfonia Camera was premiered by Walter Goehr and the New London Orchestra in 1947 and has enjoyed performances in the UK and Germany. It is available for regional premiere in a number of territories.
