Kurt Weill with the Oslo Philharmonic and Zürcher Kammerorchester

The music of Kurt Weill delights audiences around the world this month, with performances in Norway, Germany and beyond. On May 4, the Oslo Philharmonic performs Die sieben Todsünden with Tora Augestad (a past award winner in the Lotte Lenya Competition) as Anna I and conducted by Joshua Weilerstein. On the same night, violinist Daniel Hope performs excerpts from Song-Suite for Violin and Chamber Orchestra with the Zürcher Kammerorchester at the Berliner Philharmoniker Kammermusiksaal.

Several repertory productions continue throughout the month including LoveMusik in the critically acclaimed production at Oper Leipzig, Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny at Salzburger Landestheater, Oper Halle, and Staatstheater Cottbus, and Die Dreigroschenoper at Thalia Theater, Hamburg, and Saarländische Staatstheater, Saarbrücken.
