Kenji Sakai's Three Portrait Concerts in Japan

After living in Europe for the past seventeen years, Kenji Sakai has returned to Japan where, in addition to composing, he is teaching at Kyoto City University of Arts. A series of portrait concerts on August 6, 7, and August 10 celebrate his return to Japan and feature a selection of Sakai’s works, including the world premieres of Melodia Labile and Wavering, and the Japanese premieres of Howling and Whirling.
