Ensemble Insomnio Performs Works from Frank Zappa's <em>The Yellow Shark</em>

Ensemble Insomnio of The Netherlands performs music from Frank Zappa’s The Yellow Shark, the 1993 album featuring compositions commissioned and performed by the Ensemble Moderne. Zappa described this collaboration as one of the more fulfilling projects of his career and among the best representations of these orchestral works. The works featured on the program include: Dog Breath Variations/Uncle Meat, Outrage at Valdez, Ill Revised, The Girl in the Magnesium Dress, Be-Bop Tango, Get Whitey, and G-Spot Tornado.

The performance takes place December 17 at the Vredenburg in Utrecht, with additional performances December 19 in Eindhoven, December 20 in Amsterdam, and December 21 in Rotterdam.
