The Grammy results are in, and we are proud to announce the following winners of our nominated works:
Best Opera Recording: Engelbert Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel performed by the London Philharmonia Orchestra under conductor Sir Charles Mackerras, featuring Rebecca Evans, Jane Henschel, Jennifer Larmore, Brian Couzens, and the New London Children's Choir. The recording is produced by Sarah Coppen, Diana Montague & Sarah Tynan and is available on the Chandos Label: CHAN 3143(2). Schott's critical edition offers English translations by Tom Hammond.
Best Instrumental Solo with Orchestra: Erich Wolfgang Korngold's Violin Concerto in D Majorperformed byJames Ehnes and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra under Maestro Bramwell Tovey. CD title: Barber/Korngold/Walton: Violin Concertos; Available on Onyx records, ONYX4016
