Daniel Kidane: Featured Artist at the 2025 Aldeburgh Festival

Daniel Kidane was a Featured Artist at the 2025 Aldeburgh Festival during which time a number of his works were performed:

Daniel's Kidane's Christus Factus Est was featured in the annual Aldeburgh Festival Service on June 15 at Aldeburgh Church.

On June 16 at Britten Studio, Snape Maltings, Kidane's etudes formed part of an entrancing program specially curated for the Festival by acclaimed pianist Mishka Rushdie Momen.

The Royal Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra performed Kidane's Sirens on June 19 at Snape Maltings Concert Hall in a program that paired renowned tenor Allan Clayton and conductor Edward Gardner.

On June 21, Daniel Kidane's Awake was featured in a special concert from the BBC Symphony Orchestra and conductor Sakari Oramo, for whom the piece was originally composed.

The Carducci Quartet performed the world premiere of Quatre Tableux, a brand new quartet from Kidane, on June 25.

The following day, Kidane's moving COVID-era piece, The Song Thrush and the Mountain Ash, was performed as part of a feast of choral music from BBC Singers and conductor Sofi Jeannin.

On June 27, tenor Nick Pritchard and pianist Ian Tindale joined forces for the world premiere of Kidane's recent cycle Songs of Illumination and the same day, internationally-acclaimed cellist Alisa Weilerstein played parts 1–3 of Kidane's Sarabande in recital.

Finally, Daniel Kidane’s Aloud was performed by the charismatic Brazilian violinist Nathan Amaral, accompanied by the Royal College of Music Symphony Orchestra.
